Based on the short story
book, the short story that most impact to me is Mariah. It is because from this
story, I know that men will remarry because he wants a child. If they cannot
get what they want especially a child, they will remarry. From this story, Pak
Imam wants to married with Mariah because he wants a child. His wife, Cik Yam
cannot give him a child to him. He asks permission from Cik Yam to take Mariah
as his second wife because he wants a child as his generation. From this story,
I also know that everyone will not satisfy with each other and will be busybody
with someone life. For example, Cik Nab tells Cik Yam about Pak Imam and
Mariah. She tells that Pak Imam always eats at Mariah’s stall and he has feeling
with Mariah. So, this is shown that Cik Nab is busybody person. From the
lesson, I tried to avoid myself from be a busybody person because it will give
bad impact to me.
